Lexical and stylistic features of analytical genres of media texts in regional online media

The authors analyze lexical and stylistic features of analytical genres of media texts in regional online media. The authors emphasize that there is a variety of genres in regional online media (news, analytical genres, publicistic genres), with analytical genres comprising the majority of the media content. The fact can be explained by the necessity to choose a large amount of facts, systematize them on various grounds, and present the information on media websites. The material of the research includes articles, roundups, surveys, and reviews that are most frequently published on websites of various types of online media (TV channels, broadcasting stations, newspapers and news agencies). The analysis of lexical and stylistic features of analytical genres of media texts allows the authors to compare lexical means of the language and evaluate the use of the word in a particular speech situation. The article deals with the lexical level of basic analytical genres used in modern online media.
