Lexicographic interpretation of lexemes containing the differential feature “structure of the head” of insects

The study aligns with the interest of modern linguistics in studying and comparing the representation of a group of lexemes containing certain common components in different languages. The aim of the article is a comparative analysis of lexemes containing the differential feature of the aspect “structure of the head” of insects in the Russian and Chinese languages. The study provides the componential analysis of words in this group and comparative analysis of lexical representations in the Russian and Chinese languages. The article presents the results of categorizing the lexis denoting insects, differential features of the aspect “structure of the insect head” in the Russian and Chinese languages, also their differences and similarities, and reveals the peculiarities of representation of these features in two languages. The research uses a set of methods: statistical analysis, componential analysis, definitional and comparative analyses. The results of the study can be applied in cognitive and comparative research aimed at studying the categorization of entomonyms in the aspect of word semantics in the Russian and Chinese languages.
