Man is a part of nature, depends on it and is inextricably linked with it. Often sculptors, artists, craftsmen create real works of art from a variety of natural materials. The transformation of elements of nature into interesting forms and volumes has received the status of a new art form called "land art". This article examines this trend of landscape art that emerged in the mid-twentieth century in the United States, and also examines the possible prerequisites for its appearance, features of development and role in the modern world.
