Forest industry: directions of improving efficiency of use of resources

This article is devoted to the management of one of the most strategic resources of the Russian Federation - forestry. The authors identified a number of problems faced by representatives of the forestry sector at the present stage. Particular attention is paid to the procedure for generating revenues and expenditures from the use of forest resources. As the main directions for increasing the efficiency of collection of payments for the use of forests, the following are noted: the development of a mechanism to cover the costs of forest protection and reproduction, the determination of incremental coefficients for wood, and a differentiated approach to the calculation of forest payments for users.
