Forestry in Bulgaria

The article presents an analysis of the current state of forestry in Bulgaria. Forest resources, forms of ownership of forests and forestry management are considered. Data on the diversity of flora and species composition of forests, their origin, age structure, trends in the average timber stock per 1 ha are given. Data are given on the volume of timber harvesting and types of forest felling.
