Summer fauna of birds of the Kurilskoe lake (Kamchatka)

Materials on the birds of Kurilskoe Lake were collected from May 19 - September 6, 2011. Data about 59 species are submitted, 44 of them are breeding or probably breeding in that area. 11 species are noted as migrating and 4 species - casual on Kurilskoe Lake. Finding of the oriental turtle dove Steptopelia orientalis orientalis and the brown-headed thrush Turdus chrysolaus chrysolaus are most interesting. Breeding of these species are most probably. Among interesting observations of 2011 is casual visitation of Ross's gulls Rhodostethia rosea.
