In article is considered one of significant aspects of reader''s experience of L. N. Tolstoy. The historical fiction was present at writer’s circle of reading, however influence of these texts remains still up to the end obscure – as well as as a whole genesis of the «Tolstoy’s line» in the russian historical novel of the XIX century.
