The personality of Alexander Suvorov in the foreign museum expositions and tourist routes

The article sets the problem of museum and tourist collaboration between Russia and foreign countries, particularly in the line of Russian history. The period of Russian history at the end of XVIII century on the territory of Europe and Ottoman Empire with focusing on the personality of great Russian military leader A. V. Suvorov is regarded as practical example for the problem. These are brilliant victories of the Russian military leader during Russia-Turkey wars, in northern Italy, Switzerland. It keeps true that the Suvorov’s name is connected with other European countries: Germany, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Great Britain, Czech. There are countries among the enumerated where he hadn’t participated in military campaigns but had influenced their policies. To consider the problem set, the author chooses the museum complexes, most rich in information: in Bulgaria when it was part of Ottoman Empire, in northern Italy, Switzerland. The author also gives attention to A.V. Suvorov memorial museum in Timanovka village near the town of Tul’chin in Vinnitsa region of Ukraine. It is here where the general wrote the handbook for Russian military leaders “The Science to Win”. The museums of A. V. Suvorov, particularly in northern Italy and Switzerland, the tourist routes, repeating the war paths of Suvorov’s army, embrace vast territories of the countries. This fact confirms the museum contents expanding. During his lifetime the Suvorov’s name echoed through Europe as the Liberator. That is why describing the museum complexes with accompanying tourist routes leads to the important conclusion of nowadays”: The Russian Army with its military skillful strategies performs the mission of peace”.
