Personality in private criminalistic theories: classification of approaches to study and prospects of their development

Personality is the central element of forensic study; it is the object of many private forensic theories. The article presents a classification analysis of the most significant of the teachings on personality, its properties and characteristics, the result of which was the identification of five main approaches to the study of personality at the level of theoretical forensic constructions; the development trends of each of the selected approaches are indicated. The most important and promising of the areas of forensic study of personality a the present stage is called the creation of a complex integrative theoretical construction that considers the personality in all the variety of its properties and manifestations. It is concluded that there is a need for systemic and structural ordering of the accumulated array of forensic knowledge about a person, as well as rethinking and processing this information in relation to modern conditions in the forensic doctrine of personality.
