The personal fund of B.I. Lavrentiev in the Archives of Russian Academy of Sciences

The article introduces readers to the famous scientist histologist B.I. Lavrentiev. He made a significant contribution to the study of peripheral vegetative (autonomic) nervous system. The scientist studied the tissue regeneration, innervation of internal organs. He is the winner of the State Prize in histology. The personal fund of the scientist is located in the Archive of Russian Academy of sciences (№ 1613). The archive files of the scientist were transferred from the Institute of Normal and Pathological Physiology AMN SSSR in 1970. The fund is available to researchers. It has 178 archival files: articles, lectures, speeches, reports, letters, biographical materials. B.I. Lavrentiev is the creator of his own scientific school. He advocated the unification of efforts histologists, neurologists and anatomists for the development of new methods, in particular, in neurohistology.
