A patient's personal account in the communications ecosystem of medical organizations

In the context of the digital transformation of healthcare, the patient personal account (PPA) has ceased to be simply a tool for complying with regulatory requirements and has become a strategic element in building long-term patient relationships. However, its use, isolated from core clinical processes, creates an additional burden on staff and does not create a holistic patient journey. Objective: To develop and scientifically substantiate the concept and practical scenarios for the deep integration of a communications system integrated into a medical information system (MIS) with the PPA. These scenarios aim to improve treatment adherence, reduce the administrative burden on medical staff, and create a proactive, personalized model of medical care. Materials and Methods: The study is based on an ecosystem approach to organizing the communications infrastructure of a healthcare organization. The study includes an analysis of international and Russian regulatory requirements, a review of current PPA functions, and methods for increasing patient engagement. The practical part is illustrated by a scenario of a detailed end-to-end process for preparing for hospitalization and postoperative patient care using the Interin PROMIS Alpha PG medical information system and the Interin LK personal computer (PC). Results: It is shown that deep integration of the PC with the MIS enables its transformation from a service tool into the core of the medical organization's communications ecosystem. The presented scenario demonstrates the achievement of target indicators: increased adherence through personalized notifications and feedback, reduced staff workload through the automation of routine communications, and the development of a proactive model in which the system initiates data-driven interventions. The key role of intelligent AI agents, capable of providing personalized interactions at scale, is identified. Conclusions: The patient personal account, deeply integrated into the medical organization's business processes via the MIS communications system, is not an optional service, but a critical infrastructure for building patient-centered, effective, and safe medical care. A key condition for success is the transition from fragmented communication channels to the creation of a unified communication environment, which requires healthcare organizations to strategically invest in a digital platform.
