Lymphotropic technologies in prevention and treatment of postoperative infectious complications for patients with rectal cancer

Experience in treating 102 patients with rectal cancer has been described. The study group comprised 53 patients and the control group consisted of 49 patients. Patients of the study group received regional lymphotropic prolonged antibacterial therapy with solution of antibiotics infused through catheter placed intraoperatively into peritoneal space of the pelvis. Application of lymphotropic technologies resulted in reduction in the rate of postoperative purulent inflammatory complications by 13,1 %.
