Liminality as the principle of poetics of A. Korolev’s novel «Eron»

Anatoliy Korolev's novel «Eron» is about getting into life in the capital for young people from the province. Main novel plot unfolds in the space of existential quest of the heroes and is associated with the discovery of fundamental laws of human existence. The article proposes the hypothesis that the interpretation of «Eron» makes a significant contribution to understanding the logic of the development of modern cultural process. The author reviews ways of implementation and associative and thematic range of liminality poetics that reflects the current state of transition culture. In «Eron» novel liminality of creative thinking finds its realization in reference to the specific manner of the holy-fool and a hermaphrodite, having folklore and mythological nature. Experience of marginal states, «border» situations is described in the novel by the motives of «transition», «initiation», genetically dating back to the rites de passage complex.
