Linguistic characteristics of African-American slang in movies

The article examines the linguistic characteristics of African-American slang used in cinema, using the example of the film "Friday" (1995) starring Chris Taker and Ice Cube. The article analyzes how the film presents the features of African-American speech, its structural, phonetic and lexical elements, as well as their cultural context. The influence of African-American slang on the creation of images of characters, their social identity and interaction in society is assessed. The research methodology includes content analysis and linguistic interpretation of the film's dialogues. The results of the work allow us to identify key aspects of African-American slang and its role in shaping the dynamics of communication in cinema.
