Potential conflictness of journalistic texts

This article is devoted to a problem connected with the process of language use in mass-media. This is potential plurality of interpretations of the same text and the characteristic of its conflictness at substantial and language levels. Real legal conflict can be the consequence of a potential language conflict. To illustrate these positions the article presents the analysis of conflictness of the publication of A.Melikhov «Empire of bonded areas» in the newspaper «Izvestia» (12.29.2009) and telecasts «Hazard. Witnesses of Jehovah» (TV channel «NTV», October, 2009).
