Leafy mosses of the Petrozavodsk State University Botanic Garden

On the territory of the PetrSU Botanic Garden were revealed 125 species of leafy mosses, including a new one for Karelia - Grimmia decipiens (the earlier mentions of this species for Karelia were based on wrong determinations). Two of the species growing on the Garden’s territory - Homalia besseri and Cirriphyllum tommasinii - are included in the Red Book of Karelia and they are numbered among the 3rd cathegory (rare species). Cirriphyllum tommasinii and Eurhynchium hians are found for the first time on the territory of the Zaonegye floristic area [Ramenskaya, 1960].
