Lithology and stratigraphy of Upper Serpukhovian-lower Baschkirian deposits at the Pacha-Shor section (Ilych river, Northern Urals)

The organic buildup Pacha-Shor, which age and architecture have been still discussed, has been studied. According to foraminiferas the buildup is composed of protvinskian-suranskian limestones. It is composed of two zones: organic buildup and flanking layers. The type of the buildup is assigned to a brachiopod-microbial bank. The analysis of even-aged deposits in the Ilych River area showed that the brachiopod-microbial bank developed into lagoon between the development area of limestone breccias on the west and ooid-bioclastic shoals on the east.
