Liturgical works of professor of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy A.L. Katansky

The article is dedicated to research and teaching activities of Professor of the St.Petersburg Theological Academy Alexander Lvovich Katansky. Particular attentionis paid to the period from 1873 to 1874 when A.L. Katansky taught liturgy and churcharcheology at SPbTA. A number of his researches in the field of historical liturgy arestudied and their historiographical analysis is carried out. We gain perspective of theuniqueness of the liturgical heritage of A.L. Katansky as a result of his originalityand continuance of theological traditions at the same time.
