Liturgical manuscripts from Toledo. Part two: Libri mistici

The following article presents the results of a study of Mozarabic liturgical manuscripts from 10th-13th centuries stored in the Toledo Archives & Chapter's Library (Archivo y Biblioteca Capitulares de la Catedral de Toledo), as well as in the Museum of Сouncils and Visigothic culture (Museo de los Concilios y de la Cultura Visigoda). First, all liturgical books were examined, and then the copies, which could be used as sources for the study of the Eucharist of the Mozarabic rite, were selected. These are the manuscripts of the “Book of Masses” (Liber missarum) and of the “Mixed Book” (Liber misticus), found both in the form of complete codices as well as in the form of fragments. The article tells about the history of their origin, points out the differences between various types of books, and draws parallels between manuscripts.
