The logic of empiricism recommends to identify only the abstract universal, in which the specifics of the detail at issue is hidden. Abstract and general definitions of the whole cannot be derived as an abstract definition of every single element of the whole similar to abstractions, which are common to every element of the property without exception. I. Kant clearly separated the empirically-general (abstractions of all facts having been in the field of human experience) from the authentic universality. G.W.F. Hegel, who understood the feebleness of the Kant’s ideals, denounced it as an abstraction, opposed to another similar abstraction of empirical reality.
