Localization and liquidation of emergency oil and petroleum product spills at the facilities of the oil refining complex

The article examines the problem of oil and petroleum product spills in the Russian Federation, the adoption of new rules and standards for emergency response and prevention of oil spills. Tactics and methods of combating oil spills, including mechanical, biological and physico-chemical methods, as well as the use of specialized equipment such as booms and skimmers, were also considered. In general, the article emphasizes the importance of effective emergency response and preventive measures to minimize the impact of oil spills on the environment and human health.
