Local natural monopolies as an important element of a developed market economy

An important attribute of improving/decreasing the quality of life of the population, as well as an integral part of the developed market economy of the region, the country as a whole, are local natural monopolies. The problems of regulation in this area by the state in the person of the Federal Antimonopoly Service deserve close attention. In this study, local natural monopolies are described, a comparative analysis of prices and tariffs for utilities in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District for 2020 was carried out, corresponding proposals are given.
