V. Nabokov’s Lolita as an antiparody: regarding Lolita as a prostitute

The article suggests looking at Humbert’s relations with Lolita in the context of his relations with Monique and Marie, the young prostitutes. It is stated that in Monique – Lolita – Marie structure, Lolita is a moderate centre while Monique and Marie are extreme poles. This opposition further reveals tragical nature of Nabokov’s novel.
