Studies of onions during winter planting in the conditions of the Moscow region have shown different responsiveness. 9 varieties were studied according to the recommendations of the guidelines. It was revealed that in the conditions of the Moscow region, the Radar and Troy varieties can be grown as a winter crop. These varieties have high winter hardiness - 97.1% and form a bulb weighing 103.2± 10.3 and 94.1±9.4 g, respectively.
