Evaluation of the results of surgical treatment of locally advanced stomach cancer

The features of the local spread of gastric cancer depending on the localization, macroscopic type of growth and the degree of histopathological differentiation of the tumor have been studied on significant clinical material. The immediate and long-term results of surgical treatment of patients with locally advanced gastric cancer are analyzed. The main prognostic factors have been identified, taking into account which a differentiated approach to the use of the surgical method in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer is justified. The role of palliative combined interventions in improving the long-term results of treatment of patients of this category is shown.
