The article deals with theoretical aspects of economic security. The authors assessed macroeconomic security in terms of the system of indicative indicators for 2014-2016. The forecasted estimate of the integral indicator of macroeconomic security for 2017 was given. A comparison of the obtained values with the observed dynamics of the price of oil and inflation is given.
