Te present article is devoted to the question of the historical development of the Church and its theological rationalization. Te development of the Church through history and the development of the personal relationship with God of each member of the Church follow the same laws, which are realized through the free will of God and man. Te paradigms of these historical processes are given by the sacred history of the Old and New Testaments, and reflect the life of the Holy Trinity and public ministry of Jesus Christ. Tus, we can speak of the “lesser sacred history of each individual member of the Church.” Tese three histories - the sacred history, the history of each individual and the history of the Church - are interconnected. An ecclesiological model that takes into consideration this connection can help us find answers to the various pertinent questions of modern ecclesiology, such as: “What is the Church?”, “Where are the limits of the Church?”, “How does the Church reflect the Holy Trinity in itself?”, “Why does the Church humble itself before the external world?”, and many others
