Small business as a new modernization paradigm of the Russian economy

This research deals with the mechanisms aimed at improvement of the small business development in Russia. The article’s objective is to study the state support system and infrastructure assisting in the small business development on the current stage of the Russian economy’s modernization. In this regard the authors consider the dynamics of the main indicators, which describe the activities of the small business enterprises. The research results reveal the main problems interfering with the small business development and the ways to resolve them. The authors suggest some methods and mechanisms, which can be of practical interest for the specialists participating in development of the programs and the strategies of the socio-economic development.
