Small and medium-sized business in Russia: current state and development prospects

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) have great potential, which is particularly unleashed in the context of the economic crisis. The article deals with the development level of the small and medium-sized businesses in Russia in the context of the specific economic structure, and discusses development prospects of the SME. The author describes approaches to the implementation of the state policy of the SME support. The author's conclusions are based on the analysis of statistical data and scientific literature.
