Manipulation as a socio-philosophic phenomenon

Nowadays crowd manipulation is a subject of the wide public discussion, and it becomes a topic of the academic debates and bitter dispute with increasing frequency. Study of the crowd manipulation from the academic perspective has been carried out for several decades only, not counting touching this subject indirectly in the context of other closely related processes and aspects of the society. Thus, the range of problems of the crowd manipulation is still poorly studied and unexplained in the Humanities and Social Philosophy in particular. The article gives a social and philosophic analysis of the manipulation and discusses reasons compelling a person to manipulate.
