Therapeutic and wellness routes in the spatial structure of the resort territories of Altai krai

The authors consider the features of health tourism as a combined type of tourism, which includes medical and recreational components. This type of tourism, in addition to the use of medical resources and infrastructure, can include the active movement of tourists in the territories adjacent to medical and health institutions. Analysis of the tourism spatial structure within the location of sanatoriums and in adjacent territories made it possible to identify the existing and possible variants of the tourist network. In 2020, the authors carried out a survey, which made it possible to determine the most popular medical and recreational services and interest in routes of this direction. As the result algorithm for drawing up medical and health routes and the main types of their spatial organization has been developed. Using the case of the destination Bolshaya Belokurikha, the authors show possibility of developing a network of routes, the basis of which is the existing routes of active tourism and the investment projects currently being implemented to create Belokurikha-2 and Belokurikha-3. At present, health trails and attractive objects of excursion routes constitute the potential for further development of the health and wellness route network.
