Glow-discharge mass spectrometer МСД-650ТлР - new development of mass spectrometers МСД-650

A glow-discharge ion source for the basic model of a double-focusing mass spectrometer МСД-650 is developed and made. This extends the capabilities of the instrument to elemental analysis of solid samples. The possibilities of improving the basic model of МСД-650 to optimize parameters of the new elemental mass spectrometer are considered. The results of preliminary tests of the МСД-650 ТлР prototype are given and mass spectra of elemental analysis of solid samples are presented.
