The fruits mass of maple species in the Mari El Republic

The fruit mass indicators of Acer species have been studied. In 2021, the weight of 1000 fruits varied from 15.9 to 116.8 g. Representatives of the Platanoidea section had the heaviest fruits, Microcarpa - the lightest ones. The weight of fruits is due to specific features. The values of the exsanguinated fruit yield were characterized by a weak variation and a significant negative correlation with the mass of the fruit.
