Extends of political repressions in the USSR: against the speculative and mythological constructions

In this article, on the basis of strictly documented statistics data, the author attempts to reveal the real extends of political repressions in the USSR for the whole period of its existence. The main attention is paid to the period since 1930 through 1953. The author argues with those of his colleagues, who prefer to base their studies not on the documents, but on the intuitive and estimated statistics, which is, as a rule, unreliable and way too exaggerated.
