Бесплатный доступ

This article examines lexical expressive means that play a significant role in mass media discourse, serving both as a component of expressiveness and as a tool for intensifying the speaker's intention. The purpose of the research is to identify universal and active lexical means in the analyzed discourse. The research material is an English corpus obtained through continuous sampling. The main methods employed by the author include intent analysis, semantic interpretation and identification to determine the meanings of lexical units in a given context. The analysis shows that the lexical means are applicable across various types of mass media discourse; however, their frequency in the text depends on the specific communicative situation and the pragmatic attitude of the addresser.
