The mass digitalization of education significantly impacts teaching and learning methods worldwide, becoming an integral part of the modern educational paradigm. The implementation of digital technologies in the educational process brings both vast opportunities and considerable risks, requiring thorough analysis and management. This article examines the key trends in the digitalization of education, including the use of online courses, distance learning platforms, and the integration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality into the learning environment. The article gives special attention to the benefits of digital education, such as increased accessibility of knowledge, personalized learning, flexibility in the educational process, and the development of innovative teaching approaches. At the same time, the article addresses disadvantages and risks, including digital inequality, reduced quality of interpersonal interactions, information overload, and ethical issues related to data use and artificial intelligence. This article also explores the challenges faced by educational institutions in the context of mass digitalization, such as the need to modernize infrastructure, train educators to work with new technologies, and ensure equal access to digital resources. Finally, the authors give recommendations for optimizing digitalization processes, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of educational systems, minimizing risks, and creating a sustainable digital learning environment that meets the needs of all participants in the educational process.
