The subject of the article is the hitherto unknown episodes of Tver publishing history, as well as the creative works of Tver book makers in 1860–1870s. A special attention is paid to the legacy of one edition – the first historical biography of the grand duke Mikhail Yaroslavich Tverskoy and the first Tver lithography book. In this connection we examine the creative works of an almost unknown illustrator and lithographer of the XIX-th century, Ebergard Lilie.
