The article analyzed the specificity and mechanism of construction the lyrical image of mother by M. I. Tsvetaeva, the poet of the Silver Age, - is M. A. Maine. It focuses itself in accordance with the creative task - creating an image of the poet»s mother in the future - the negative features of a person who is alien to the children»s spirit. That is, the personality of the mother was relegated not only to the lyrical image, but, moreover, to the image-tool with which the image of the main, but again lyrical hero - Marina Tsvetaeva is built.
