Mathematical and statistical analysis of the work of dissertation councils

The article presents a qualitative analysis of the structure of the dissertation councils. The method of selection of active and passive members of the Council, based on the ideas of discriminant analysis, is proposed. The structure of a number of dissertation councils on economic subjects is investigated. It is noted that the percent of active members of the Council is meant to be a performance criterion of work of dissertation Council.
