The material culture of Yakuts: history of study in the XX century

The article reviews the history of the Yakuts' material culture studies in the XX century. Researchers deal with the various aspects and problems of the material culture of the Yakut ethnic group. It is concluded, that dwellings, farm buildings, weapons, clothing, food, and jewelry have been studied more thoroughly at this period, while some economic activities, work equipment, changes in the material culture of the Yakut ethnic group under the influence of social, economic and other alterations have been studied insufficiently.
