Logistics of road building enterprises in the north of West Siberia in the 1960s-1970s

The paper analyzed the logistics of road construction in the North of West Siberia. The focus was on the severe weather conditions of West Siberia that determined the complicated and slow development of logistics of road building trusts. The research demonstrated the achievements and shortcomings of road building trust equipment of the Ministry of Transport Construction of the USSR in the territory of oil and gas complex. Based on the state and municipal archives, the author identified the main ways of supplying construction materials to the subdivisions of road building trusts. The research revealed that the departure from the implementation plan for highway depended on the insufficient supply with precast concrete units, spare parts for road-building machines. These shortcomings led to management reforms of supply systems of the Ministry of Transport Construction of the USSR and its trusts.
