Materials to studying the phytodiversity of Penza region: sandy steppe in the vicinity of the village Podgornoe (Mokshansky district)

A general description and a list of species of vascular plants of the locality in the northern part of Penza Region in the basin of the Moksha River (tributary of the Oka River) are presented. 213 species of vascular plants were identified in the locality, of which 5 species were listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation (2008), and 8 species - in the Red Book of Penza Region (2013). Species classified as rare, vulnerable and in need of constant monitoring in the Penza Region have been registered.
