The paper reports on the architecture of the Annunciation Church in Vitebsk. This Medieval Russia church survived, though in a rebuilt form, until 1961 when it was almost completely destroyed. Because of the church destruction, all materials on this church, especially, graphic, are of exceptional interest. This paper publishes unknown or partially published drawings of the distinguished restorer P. D. Baranovsky as well as several photographs made by the archaeologist L. V. Alekseev. The paper examines some forms of the church associated with the impact of Romanesque architecture and also suggests that it should be dated to a later period, i. e. the second half of the 12th century.
