Media: reflection of criminal symbolism retranslation in the Far East

Functions of mass media in the process of political mythologisation are considered in the article. Attention is paid to the fact that myths are transformed into symbols of life; they precondition axiological orientations systems and determine rules for social behaviour. The research of mass media, mythologisating and heroising the crime, occupies a special place.
