Medicine, education and science as components of social regional development

The article is devoted to the components of social regional development - medicine, education and science. The authors state the absence of a unified approach to assessing the social development of regions in domestic practice. Possible options for planning research in this area are considered. The indicators of the block “Medicine, science and education” used for calculating the integral indicator are highlighted. Numerical values of such indicators for the regions of the Volga Federal District are determined, and their rating is compiled. The universality of the proposed methodology is noted, integral indicators for the federal districts of the Russian Federation are calculated.
