The National Radiation and Epidemiological Registry (NRER) was formed by the Decree of the RF Government N 948 of 22.09.1993. The NRER database has accumulated medical and dosimetric information about 190.9 thousand the Chernobyl emergency accident workers, among them 6.6 thousand females. The ratio of radiation risks for males and females is a topical problem (Russian "Basic Sanitary Regulations", NRB-99/2009). For the first time the authors present analysis of radiation and epidemiological information about the female cohort of the Chernobyl emergency accident workers; UNSCEAR reports and ICRP recommendations were used for the analysis.
