Media dimension of the contemporary culture through communication science (methodological aspects)

The article deals with methodological aspects of communicological studies in mass culture context. Media products being a part of mass culture lose their anthropological attributes, hence demands of new approaches to their gist and investigation. Following M. MacLuhan and N. Luman we propose to describe the cooperation of communicology and journalism theory as the way to broadened space of new notions and cognitive procedures correlating with general methodological uncertainty in this field.
