The paper concerns the burning problem of the present - medical and social consequences of the destructive influence of neoreligious sectarian (nonconformist) organizations on human health and well-being. Traditionally this problem is considered to be a subject of religious studies. The author offers a new approach to its analysis - from a position of bioethics, i.e. the science which connects social, moral and biomedical aspects of understanding and substantiation of value of a human life and health.
