Public policy designing: mechanisms and institutions

The article describes political and administrative mechanisms and institutions, involved in the public policy designing in Russia. The research was performed by the case study method on an example of the reform of the controlling and supervising bodies of the executive power. The concept of the reform was formed in 2014-2015 and its active implementation started in 2016. Participants and stakeholders composition, mechanisms and institutions, involved in the process, allow revealing the specifics of the modern Russian public policy designing.
