At the present stage of the development of international relations, the emergence of an armed conflict on a global scale seems unlikely. However, this does not mean that all emerging problems between countries are and will be resolved by purely peaceful means without prejudice to one of the parties of the conflict. To overthrow or transform unwanted political regimes, the most commonly used technologies are so-called color revolutions, which were first successfully tested by the United States against the Republic of Iran in 1953. Countering the technologies of destabilization is an extremely difficult task, requiring the state, which is under threat of external intervention, to be able to respond flexibly to incoming challenges and take proactive actions, aimed at eliminating the soil for possible social and political protest, which is often used as the main actor of color revolutions.
